Our Mission

Our mission is to use digital technology to support the health and well-being of adolescents aged 10–24.

We work in partnership with adolescents, researchers, and professionals from a range of backgrounds to co-design innovative, evidence-based solutions.

Our goal is to prevent chronic diseases and create healthier, sustainable and equitable communities—both now and for future generations.
Our Values

We’re an impact-driven research team that values both exceptional research and work-life balance. We know the health challenges facing adolescents are complex, so we welcome a diversity of ideas, experiences, and disciplines.
We believe inclusivity and collaboration spark the most innovative solutions.
We’re committed to building capacity — especially for adolescents, higher-degree research students, and early- to mid-career researchers — so the next generation of leaders can keep advancing adolescent health and well-being.
Above all, we strive for meaningful impact through creativity, empathy, initiative, and genuine connection.

Our Research Areas
Our vision is a future where adolescents have the opportunity to shape public health research and policy.

We are committed to harnessing digital technologies to empower young people to build healthier, more resilient communities — for their generation and beyond

Digitial Health Innovation
Lead: Dr Rebecca Raeside
We design and test creative digital technologies that support the health and well-being of adolesents. Our research explores how technology can be used in smart, meaningful ways to promote health and make support more accessible for young people.

Food Environments
Lead: Dr Sisi Jia
We generate evidence to inform food policies and create environments
— both digital and physical — that make healthy eating easier and more accessible for all adolescents. Our work focuses on promoting equity and sustainability to improve health now and for future generations.

Youth Engagement
Lead: Allyson Todd
We partner with young people in many ways — by doing research together, creating spaces for them to share their views and ideas, building skills as a group, and supporting them to play an active role in shaping health research and policy.
